not one thread on this site of how the trout are as thick as thieves from Turner's to the Washout under the birds. Also tons of fish in West cove and Black lake. NOt to mention the reds stacked up like cordwood at the weirs. I wonder why noone is posting this. I guess noone wants the secret out. Well, its out. Go get 'em boys! !!:work:

10-4 I have had 3 man limits the last 5 days.

The fish are there. Birds are not hard to find at moment. This weekend will be excellent when that north wind starts pushing the shrimp out of the marshes again.

I was under the impression that Big Lake was a private lake! Lol

Pretty funny 75% of the people on here fish big lake and theres like 2 reports on Big Lake each week, lol.

Fished out there all week last week worst day we had was 20 or so specks and 12 keepers. Hopefully it will stay good until i get back home from offshore

That's because like on the other site. Big lake is reserved for those who think they are entitled to it.

i haven't had time to fish...trying to sell my house is eating up my time!!!

Every time I go I post a report..

I think it's because people realize the extra crowds that reports/press/magazine articles draw in. It really doesn't do the average angler with a little humility any good to post a glowing report.

I've only run across a few that feel this way, good people in SW LA.

I'm not holding out! Haven't been on the lake since August. Got teal and deer on the brain right now.

I totally understand that esp. a place like big lake that fishes pretty small unless you have fished there your entire life and know lots of secret spots. Just seems like a fishing site would have more reports about fishing. Its all good I like talking sports more here than fishing anyways.

I just noted that you are alot better at catchin' 'em than photographin' 'em. That's a compliment..............."from that standpoint". ;)

Time for some does to die this weekend!

Saw 8 does and 3 fawns yesterday afternoon. I cant take it anymore. I been trying to wait on a nice buck but i think tomorrow afternoon i will have to lay a nanny down. Had some so close I videoed her with my iphone.

Sounds like my hunt Saturday, saw 5 big does and 3 yearlings. Took some pics, with my crack berry. Hopefully 1 comes back through Satuday when we are allowed to shoot them. I aint skeered to pop them swamp donkeys.

I hope I at least see a doe by herself this weekend so I can shoot something with my bow. I can't wait to be sitting in the stand Sat morning!!!

Weren't this afternoon. 4 trout and 1 red. Huge school of reds, but was looking for trout.

I'd had to bust some reds! I'm definitely ready for some more grilled half shells!!!!!

smoked em today!!!! and added shrimp on top of it

I must a been in the wrong place. I can say we saw tons of shrimp when we were in a certain area. No fish, but tons of good shrimp everywhere around us.

reefs and bait mostly. had a few birds working late this afternoon

We went looking for birds. There were not a whole lot working. Saw some in Turners along with several boats.

Hope to try again tomorrow.

i could give you the exact spot but the catching is up to you. just ask the skeeter that stayed well within casting distance for most of the morning. only saw him pull in 5-6, even told him what we were throwing
