Big Lake 7/26/10
 

Hit the lake today with a few buddies with hopes of the forecast being right, wanting the calm winds and seas so we could hit the beach. Well, that didnt happen. Rough seas pushed us back north and the winds only got higher as the day went along. Good news is we found some feeesh. Found some good water along the channel and finished the day with 33 trout and 3 reds. About 25 of those trout were in the 2-4# range. The ladyfish were THICK!!!! Hate dealing with em but do love seeing em come out of the water attacking that jerk jr. No shortage of bait in the lake either.

Nice,everyone I talked to said the ladyfish were bad. We could not get away from them saturday in v. bay.

forgot to mention that this was the Cajun Outdoors mission #2. Catch a 5# speck, which we failed. Had a few over 4 but couldnt get one to break 5.

Here's our pick from Saturday. "He Who Can't be Named", Mallardfish, and myself. Had to run constantly to dodge the rain and find good water but we had a blast. Darren O fished with us in the morning but fishing didn't pick up till late evening.

I saw y'all Saturday evening. Me and Asterisk were fishing south entrance to WC and y'all pulled up behind us, fished for a minute, and hauled azz.

I walked right past you guys yesterday as you were wallking out the door at Cocahoes. I was the really tall one. I thought the boy looked familiar, but I didn't realize it till I saw your pictures from above. Wish I would have stopped to visit. We fished mostly the jetties, caught a bunch of small reds, tiny drum, those slimy ones, and one speck. We brought a couple high school boys from down the street fishing. Wish we could have found the specks so they could get a taste of a good bite. Nice fish you got there.

LOL, being that I'm 6'11" tall and never actually met any of these guys, and based on what I've heard about "*", I would have to say there was one guy that was taller than the other two-that must have been jlincecum, other wise I would say both of them!

I guess it would be fool, that I recognized, I was in need of some more adult beverage for the boat so I really didn't pay close attention.

don't know why the video came out grainy when i uploaded it - but here's a quick video from 7/24... pink dolphin made an appearance at the beginning but she's hard to make out. after the rainstorm the lake was dead calm.

only thing that would have made it better is if i caught all of the "blowups" you had on your phone! who is your phone carrier - gonna have to buy their stock! :D
