Just wondering if some of y'all might be interested in a day of fishing, cooking, fourwheeler riding down at the beach in Johnson Bayou.

I was looking at July 24th.

Bring the families, a few pop up tents, some sand castle building tools and if there are enough people a few "Old Smokey" pits for hot dogs and hamburgers and it's on.....

Just a chance for one last "day in the outdoors" before school starts...

Whatcha' think????

sounds fun I would try to make it especially if the surf is on

where is johnsons bayou at

A few miles west of Holly Beach and close to the La./Texas border...

Between the Calcasieu and Sabine Rivers, right on the Gulf of Mexico.
Hwy. 82.

Not gonna work. Weather will be bad. Ray is off. Haha

I'll be there. Let's do it at Martin Beach. They changed the name to Mae's Beach on the signs though. Surf will def be on at that time.

I will def. try. We have a vacation planned to Galveston mid July so I just have to find out the dates for that.

West of Holly Beach, heading west on 82 it's before you get to Johnson Bayou...

Oh, that's what they calle the bare spot in between the two I guess. I know zactly where that is. LMAO. Just didn't know it had a name.

Once upon a time, there was a trailer park, Martin's Trailer Park, under a bunch of
big oak trees, on the North side of the highway when you first get into J.B., past
Constance Beach. There was a cattle guard across the highway too, but it is gone
now. The trailer park was owned by an Erbelding, but I can't remember his name
right now. It ain't Dwight.
When you pass where the cattle guard used to be, take a left, South, and go all the
way to the beach.
There was a honky tonk back there too at one time, the Lost Lagoon. But it ain't
there no more. Where that honkey tonk was is where you want to go.

It is Parish Rd. 532

Coming from Holly Beach, after you pass the gas plants and Constance Beach and
Little Florida, you will see 2 roads on the South.
First road goes to a small separation facilities for an old offshore platform. That ain't
the road. It is the next one.
I am not sure if the separation is still there after Rita and Ike. Not sure if the old
Martins Trailer Park is still there either. But it is the last road to the South before
you get to the high school.
