A buddy of mine told me he ate the spiders from shrimp. I thought he was joking but we tried them tonight, they are awesome can't believe I wasted them till now. They taste just like soft shell crab.

Couple of year's ago I had a mess of 12/15's and tried them. Believe me they are very surprising how much meat there is and good too.

tgsx750f2000 09-30-2011 11:24 AM

I'll never waste them again.

DUCKGOGETTER 09-30-2011 12:10 PM

Gonna have to try this

FF_T_Warren 09-30-2011 03:09 PM

Oh yea we been eating those for years. very tasty. just got to be careful, hurts like a bugger to get one of those legs jabbed into your gums

Garfish 10-04-2011 11:36 AM

Gotta be a big skrimp to eat the spider. No less than 20 count. IMO

RatherBFishin 10-04-2011 11:48 AM

Explain exactly what this is. How you prepare it etc...

"W" 10-04-2011 01:52 PM

I have ate them before....do you break the horn off??

lavocat 10-13-2011 02:07 PM

They are DAMN good. The horn and the shell of the head are not part of the spider. You take the inside of the head out of the shell and when you do you have a few of the front legs still attached. You season dat and batter dat and fry dat.

Very interesting!! Learn something new everyday!! Jus like the first time I tasted fried trout roe!! Good stuff!!
