70% of the time when I'm on fish color does not matter!!! Their is that 30% when they get picky....take yesterday between me fool and Bruce we all were catching fish with 3 different colors!!!

Salty 05-24-2009 10:53 PM

I would agree that, when fish are in a frenzy, 70% of the time they'll hit anything. I'm excluding the big fish here. How many times have you found, while fishin' birds, that those W's want a certain color bait?

txjoker 05-24-2009 10:58 PM

Wait, did I read this correctly? Is "W" talking about working his chub... no matter what color? :help:

I will be lighting up the BBQ pit later today.

I have some chicken, vension, pork and a ribeye for the wife ready to cook.

Is it time for a cold one?????????

Say killa.....will the trout have recovered by tomorrow from the invasion of boat this weekend?

Gerald 05-25-2009 02:15 PM

Well Gerald, I think what will probably happen is that all the trout will begin to migrate south down the ship channel, once they hit the gulf they will continue towards the west, once they have gone approximately 30 miles or so they will begin to notice that everything smells like BS, realize they are in TX and return back to Big Lake. So they should be back and hungry from their trip.:*****:

Time to go burn some ribs!

Gerald 05-25-2009 02:19 PM

I would not mind catching them while they pass along Martin beach or some where in that area.

Or maybe we should anchor at the washout and wait for them to swim by.....I sure they will be hungry by then.
