Just call and ask them how to keep it off your record. I have done this at least 5 or 6 times! Every time they have said if i come and pay the fine in person and in cash before the court date, it will not be on my record.

Need to find out exactly what court you are going to. Is it the city of Pineville or Rapides Parish. When you find that our, you can make a request for an Art. 894, which means you would be willing to pay the find, but it will not go on your record.
