We saw a few groups of Greys today and had some come right over the decoys. From a teal standpoint....3 of us ended with 11.

Our lease hammered the teal this morning and saw several groups of pintail. Love this time of year.

That's what we shoulda had, maybe more. They acted retarted today and a group of 30 came in but flared at 35-40 yds and we lost the two we cut out the group. It happens!

Lots of birds or just good shooting?

meaux fishing 09-26-2014 11:56 AM

Hunted in Klondike yesterday killed 3. Gueydan today and scratched

bgizzle 09-26-2014 11:59 AM

Excellent shooting!!! Probably had 25-30 close enough to shoot. Just moved around some decoys, cut more brush, and moved the mojo to a location no one would've thought would work and the birds became workable

I hunt in Miller's Lake (Evangeline Parish) and it's by far the worst year we've had for teal, last year the "numbers" were down and we did WAY better......

and we haven't seen ANY other ducks(spoon,grays,pins,etc.....) which is RARE, typically see PLENTY spoons by now..... i sure hope big ducks is legit!!!!!!!!!!!

until then, tree rats are F'ed!
