oh for sure man!

Jus pull tags let fish go. Keep tags for necklace. Or make some fish art with um. Or start side pot for non CCA members.

Yep side pot.

The CCA contest does not own the fish and cannot reserve it for their members by putting a tag on it. I'd take it home and fillet it like any other legal redfish.

Catching a legal fish is "dibbs." Tagging a fish for a contest is not.

well I can only speak for myself and say that by taking that fish I reduce those who gain by supporting an organization that does nothing for my benefit and ONLY works against the interests of recreational anglers in Louisiana.

one less person taking pictures with their bribe from CCA to get others to send them money to hurt fishermens interests and also one less picture to show joining star pays off.

if I didn't want to keep the fish I would pull the STAR tag out and throw the no longer tagged fish back.

Ratdog 05-30-2014 11:42 AM

Would anyone like to start side pot for fish cought by non CCA members.

Rules are can not be member or in CCA turny . 20 dollar entry fee paied to salty Cajun . And most tags takes pot.

What are thoughts? We do this and stop the squabbling and it will be a real protest. CCA would have to take notice and we won't be left out of prize money possibility .

Seems to be good solution.

Ratdog 05-30-2014 11:44 AM

Another side pot for LWF tags too.

Anyone know whats leading it? My bud caught a 6.7 Toad flounder the first day of it but it was on my duck lease.

marshrunner757 05-30-2014 12:12 PM

Should weighed it. The flounder that won last year came from private water.

A bottomless money pit you put your money into to watch a few select people utilize the money for personal interest and gain disguised as an organization (CCA) to support and protect recreational fisherman.

A waste of money, kinda like the lottery, except it goes to support the certain few who benefit directly from contributiuons and tax write offs.;)

Got a text forwarded from someone about the STAR

This is what the forwarded text read "came from a CCA worker in Baton Rouge

" what's going on with Lake Charles area? We are not getting any fish weighted in for STAR and sign ups are down tremendous this year "

BuckingFastard 06-02-2014 06:58 AM

that is good. i hope we stay hard and they can notice that we see through them.

redchaserron 06-02-2014 09:32 AM

CCA gets none of my money. Like a lot of organizations CCA reached a point of being so big that they now spend all of their energy raising money to feed the beast instead of doing anything worth a damn. And a "Conservation" organization putting a bounty on big breeder trout? Really? Remember what it was like fishing Big Lake before the tournament vs the crowded **** show it has turned into now? If I catch a huge trout I'll photograph and release. If I catch a tagged red I'll eat it, put the tag into the cooked fillet and send pictures of it to the CCA.
