In college station now, bout to get some breakfast then head to caldwell...bout 20 ish miles west to get him, then run back home to fry a turkey. Hoping through all this i can kick this sinus infection, I've hunted sick before but this damn infection feels like the flu minus the severity of the symptoms.

i know how that feels. I hate sinus infections. We going in the morning to give them a try. Talked to my father-n-law yesterday and they didn't do to good this week in gc. Hopefully this change of weather pushes down some more birds and gets them stirred up.

That would be nice, im afraid we'll need some drastic weather for over a week and it prolly wont come till after duck season

Been doing well since the second split opened. Bad day in the fog yesterday, 6 ducks and 1 speck. My wife and the fog convinced me to sleep in today. Hope all that went out today are safe and put the smack down on 'em!

Was heading to JB this morning. My "sports" didn't show, so i crawled back up I'm bed.. ain't hunting tomorrow:shaking:, but will be out on Monday. Notice I said sports... Pisses me off when people don't show.

same thing happened to me this year, and it pisses me off too. My father-n-law had 2 guys lined up for me to take one morning and they were gonna meet me at his house, and didn't show up until 7:30. I was gone already and they wanted to come meet us out there and he told them they screwed up, cause he knew i wasn't gonna stop hunting to go pick them up at the truck. They keep asking if i'll take them and he told them they messed that up to quit asking.

This one was a buddy of mine, been asking me all week to bring him. Told him meet me at my place for 315.. still ain't got a text. Been trying to get my dad to come, might get him.out there Monday..

Nobody hunted today? Talked to my father-n-law and he said they were still out there this was at 9, and they had 2 greys and a widgeon. He also said the birds were flying high, but the pasture behind was full of pool doos and grey ducks. Not sure what they ended up with will call them later to find out.

Had one not show on me a few weeks ago. After ten minutes of him being late I called him. He was in bed....drunk. "Ah man I got drunk last night leave me behind." Opening day of second split and we needed the help getting deeks out before shoot time. So then we were late and short handed. We made it though, ended up scratching.

We had one blind hunt today. Last day before the boys have to go back to school. 10 ducks and 4 specks.

Im healthy this week, huntin fri, sat, sun

I'm goin in the morning!!! The best part is Im going 20 min from my house so I dont have to wake up till 5

no lie! I'm gonna actually skip out this weekend my wife and i need some us time. Been hunting every weekend and some week days since it started. No kids!!!!!

Driving down I 49 from Monroe right now there only a couple hundred birds in the pond south of Alexandria. Usually this time of year there are couple thousand.

No good reports from gc this week. The birds seem to have left the area. Skipping this weekend getting back after them next weekend though.

GC is poo

Everywhere is poo!!!! I did pass a guy pulling a 4wheeler on a trailer today and he had at least 10 specks hanging from the back of the 4wheeler. This was between Holmwood and Sweetlake.

We went out late to the blind got out there when the fog was lifting.... I shoulda just gone fishing killed 1 bootlip

My buddy talked to somebody that killed limits of mallards in PI this morning

Scratches for friday and saturday in sweetlake this weekend. Unfortunately it wasnt the bird's fault this time. Not many birds in area. You get maybe 1 or 2 chances and if you dont capitalize on the oppurtunity well thats it.
