I personally have nothing to do witth the red snapper stuffs. My unit does but I'm not on the LE side of it. And yes i find it bs to go out there and do it. Id rather be.doing other stuff. But i have no say in any of it. Not my part of the job. Sorry for pissing everyone off.

I think HIGHLY of he coasties. The work they do on navigational equipment and search and rescue make them tops in my book. Every encounter I've ever had with them is positive. I find it messed up the fed govt is using them in a pissing match with the state though.

I definately agree with ya sir. And i really appreciate what you said. Means a lot. Since there are so many out there who dislike us coasties. :-)

I told my son if her ever joins the service to join the Coast Guard. You have 90% chance of being in the states and a 95% of being around some good fishing. Plus, not to many shoot at you and when you show up normally people are grateful.

I spent a lot of time in the Northeast, and a little bit in the Southwest. But there's nothing like coming home to the fishing in Louisiana. You should have a blast here.
