? Compared to a yellowfin I assume

SGib 02-19-2013 09:55 PM

Saw them next to some boats at the boat show. Really thought they would have more room up front. Beautiful boat just think deck could be bigger.

How small is too small when talking deck size? I've met folks that never found a deck they didn't like

Kenner18 02-19-2013 10:21 PM

Its not the size of the deck ...its how you use it that matters

Goooh 02-19-2013 10:26 PM

Ain't nothin like gettin slime all over your deck first thing in the mornin

I got some rivets that came out, now the tip of my deck is curled up and flaps a little when I pick up speed

ckinchen 02-20-2013 08:03 AM

Ok guys this is not the gill net....

getonfish 02-20-2013 08:42 AM

I saw some pictures once of dubs deck. It was big but it had crabs all over it.

Seriously though I love my Frontier 2104. Absolutely no complaints so far.

SuperDave 02-20-2013 12:21 PM

Getonfish, what engine do you have on it?

175 suk

BaseballFisherman 02-20-2013 08:42 PM

All I was originally getting at was that I have a BlackJack and I can comfortably fit 2-3 people on my deck at the same time

I will say though, Yellowfin owners typically have the largest decks. It also seems as though they don't have any problems finding people who are willing to get on their decks. Most of the time, all they simply have to do is ask.

alphaman 02-20-2013 08:46 PM

That 175 is gettin it!!

sent from my Galaxy NOTE II

SuperDave 02-20-2013 08:48 PM

Getonfish, what are you seeing as far a speeds.. WOT and cruise and at what RPMs? Jack plate and trim tabs?

I'm looking at the 2104, blazer bay 2220 fisherman or pro, and a 2200 pure bay.

How big is the Yellowfin Deck???? Bigger than 8ft??

I'm not sure of exact dimensions but it is the largest deck I have seen in person. Very solid too. I know some people who have boats with wood incorporated into the design, and they have complained about soft spots developing in their decks. If your deck isn't constructed of quality wood, then it tends to get soft and flimsy over time.

100% Composite Construction...Best boat I have ever owned.

I want one of these

Kenner18 02-20-2013 10:40 PM

Not sure how big the yellowfins deck is but its almost all deck space and very little floor space . I have fished out of one a few times and I still dont see that its worth the $$ they want for one .But to each his own .

Awesome rigs no doubt, but the price has doubled since they originally came out and I agree, not worth the price of a new one. I will say it is my favorite bay boat to fish out of though. The quality is second to none.

Those are all great boats. I am getting 50 WOT 3 adults loaded with gear and 35 @ 4000rpm same conditions. By myself I have seen 54 and closer to 40 at cruise.

Shearwater1973 02-24-2013 07:22 PM

Shearwater 25LTZ or a Yellowfin are the 2 best bay boats with the most options
