Dr. Loftin is a fantastic vet. I just hate his smart azz attitude.

SoggyRedNeck 01-08-2010 12:49 PM

My lab was 9 months old and she started limping around on her hind leg. I brushed it off for a few days and went to the vet after nothing improved. He almost had me convinced that she had broken her leg and would need surgery. THen i paid 70 bucks for an x-ray that showed nothing. some kind of growing pain caused her to limp, a simple shot fixed her right up.

It will scare the crap out of you when you dont know what it is and makes it even worse when the vet is negative and gets you to believe the worst.

I didn't get any attitude from him.

Ray 01-08-2010 05:33 PM

He just has a terrible personality. I do love his work though. I wouldn't bring my dogs
anywhere else.
If you don't understand what he says when he gives you a diagnosis using medical
language, he gives me the feeling that he thinks I am a dubaz for not understanding.

All I want from him is to tell me in terms any normal Coonass can understand.

Dr. Geokle is just as good, but has better attitude.

Great news

My wife's cat had surgery last week to remove a growth in the Colen.

Found out yesterday, it was not a tumor. The cat came home this afternoon. He will go back to the Vet Monday for another checkup and to remove stiches.

We/she has not gotten the bill yet. What does a 9 day stay and major surgery and medications cost? Do we need to get a lone from the Bank?

The good news is that the cat is 11 years old and has never needed anything but annual checkups.

Glad to hear Gerald.
