I'm sure trent and them are holding a few

My recon yesterday showed exactly what I thought. 2 good groups of 100 plus ducks.

A lot of birds in Klondike area marshes. I saw a lot of mallards and greys and had plenty of ringnecks with a few canvasbacks. One thing I am worried about is teal. Everyone we talked to around the area isn't seeing many but we will see Saturday

Man, I hope there are some teal. That's about all we had the first split.

I hope yall still have them. We had some the first week and after that we would see a couple here and there. I like to start the morning out with 6 or 8 first thing to get the hunt started.

Same here!! Makes for a quick limit when you start out like that. Good luck.

Our teal population took a dramatic turn for the worse. I was at farm two days in a row and nothing like it was 1split

Least y'all had teal. I've had 7 all big duck season, and 2 have came from my lease.
Nothing but Greys, 1 canvas back, and some weidgon.

Walked out the door this morning to go to work around 6:20am and there was 3 small flocks of wood ducks and a flock of canadians flew after them. I sat in awe watching them. We aint on the split until after this weekend, but I didnt think to get the shotgun and shoot at 'em.

Never thought i would be sooo pumped up to go shoot woodducks... but I sure am going to Sat morning. Its nice to make a 10 min walk from the house and go pop a limit.

I kinda get bored with it, but love the taste of 'em. I would gladly trade a creek hunt for a pit blind hunt ANYDAY !!! My fastest hunt was 12 minutes total a few years ago. Took me 5 minutes to walk to 2 minutes to shoot and retrieve 3 ducks and 5 minutes to walk back

I'm hoping we got some ducks in gc. I'm by the superior and haven't had a whole lot of luck first split. Worst ever really. I think it's the abundance of water that's hurting me. My ponds have are good depths for ducks. But I've noticed over the years as we collect water over the season, the hunting slows. That's why we usually see our best hunting first split, and it's usually pretty friggin great! But, we started off with more water than we have recently.

I'm sure we have the most ducks as a whole state then we did in the past 10yrs. I say that bc that's how long it's been since it's been this cold this early. And it's posed to snow again in arky tom I think. Saw pink on radar earlier.

I hope you are right also but I doubt it. The duck count should be out shortly so we shall see.

He flew over our farm as well. He helped us kill a snow goose while we were working on putting false bottom in blind. ;)Attachment 59813
