Where is the best (price) place to buy a Duce rod? I want a 7' or a 7'6" med for bass fishing.

Lake Charles Tackle has some good prices but id call them to make sure that they have some in stock.

And I've been using Duce for about 1 1/2 years and have had no problems with them. Good people and product.

I love my duce rods...I've just never personally seen any rod break there...it is a great rod. Please don't take my comments as not liking the product

bgizzle 04-27-2013 01:49 PM

My nieghbor is a really good friend of Matt, Anthony's partner(im guessing) He is really good ppl and I'm sure just by seeing any homies post he is as well. They have a really good product and have to back it up with great service to keep us coming back. They will make it right as you can see from his post. Jared you prolly set hook n hit it on your flat billed hat and that's what split it. Lol.

bgizzle 04-27-2013 01:49 PM

Any homies= Anthony's

I ve snapped every kinda rod there is in every place possible the med light is more sensitive and higher modulus isn't meant for redfish. The rod was prolly already stress cracked from reds then just finally gave it up

Ducktrickster 04-27-2013 02:13 PM

Many quality rods out there and they all can break. Customer service is king. What good is a guaranty if you can't contact customer service?

No doubt about that.

One thing to remember on rods. The higher modulus and lighter the rod is the easier it is to break them. It is a trade off. Also, be careful not to "high stick" a rod. Any of them will break doing this.

Is there a way to check for stress cracks? Bc I've caught at least 30-40 reds on my ml just this yr and one was 30lbs and I can't afford to snap a Hugh dollar rod when I need it most. Not being scarcastic by any means. Serious question

What's high stick mean Jude?

I think Anthony addressed that question in post #40. PM him if you still have a problem.
