I have an okuma on a 7' American rod smith... Great combo..and a stradic c14 on the same rod... Beast mode. Check em out

That Stratic CI4 is light for a spinning reel. You don't know how light it is till you fish a few times with one then swap to the aluminum Stratic. It's a tough reel too. I have caught some Reds up to 30 lbs. and a Drum that was 40+ lbs.
Light weight rod and reel makes all the difference on a long day of fishing.

I bought 2 CI4's last year , and used em all summer! Couldn't kill em! They are extremely light and good! I bought the 2500 series, they're like the Core 50mg of spinning reels take care of em and they'll go forever!
