Moving to Colorado or Washington is always an option for those folks who really want to smoke marijuana. Of course, not for NFL players, collegiate athletes, airline pilots, interstate truckers, or DoD employees.

Where do people that like to drink move?

I'm guessing we are going to see states jumping on the cannabis tax revenue express left and right here shortly.

Those states that get on that bandwagon might even have one or two dod employee's, truckers, pilots or even possibly a Nfl player or three living there. The rest of the residents of said states are un-doubtably going to instantly become wicked dope fiends.

The way i read it,ANY employer that wants to drug test for weed will still be able to say, if you fail you're gone.

They can do it for cigarettes if they wanted.
It will be like that for a while but it couldn't stay like that forever. It just doesn't make any sense. They would have to go to a blood test before too long. It's the only test that shows ACTIVE THC in your body. It will only take one or 2 high profile people to fail a drug test for a LEGAL substance to fight it and set president. Explain to me how a pee test keeps people safe. THC is metabolized in fat so I smoke today and fail a test weeks from from now were my coworkers in danger for those 2 weeks ? What does that prove ? Only that I smoked not when or how much. A blood test you would know how much they smoked and when so you would know if they got high on the job or before work. Urine test do nothing but catch cannabis users. Very hard to catch any type of speed and a lot of other drugs.

Drug test are silly. It's really just a test to see if you do something that they told you not to do.
If it was about safety people on oxys and other opiates shouldn't be able to work but it says on the bottle " don't operate machinery until you know how this affects you"
So pop a bunch of pills until you get tolerance then we all good to drive or operate a forklift or whatever. Seems silly when you think of that way. Once the illegality of cannabis is gone the rest of these stupid policy's will fall by the wayside. It's a marathon not a sprint.

As a truck driver i can't work on pills even w/ prescription. I am required to report any legal use and take unpaid time off. If i bust a random for anything i'm outta there.

I am also a truck driver. I can't work while under the influence but if I test positive up to a year after my prescription was issued I'm good. That's a big loop hole pill users use. Get prescribed once a year for Loratabs or whatever from the dentist and you have a excuse for it to be in your system for a year.
