I may have said that wrong. I saw the aftermath. It was my freakin cow. No way I would watch that happen to my money makers.
Guess they wait till she was down and attacked the calf when it was coming out.

That's mother nature at its finest. One dies so another can survive. It's beautiful, really

Ray 12-06-2011 08:37 PM

i understand nature....but to say that would be cool is throwed off....i slaughter fish, but dont get my kicks off from them flapping in the chest....like letting a wounded duck lay in the blind.....each to their own....

Finfeatherfur 12-06-2011 08:48 PM

Not many animals cover their kill? Where was this located?

never said the suffering of the animal would give me "kicks". Ray is probably one of the few people in the entire WORLD that has ever seen this in person. It being such a rare event of nature is what makes this cool.

Makes me feel like those coyotes lol

Slidellkid 12-06-2011 10:21 PM

My brother had the exact same thing happen in S.C. about four years ago. Killed a smallish doe and then walked back about a half mile to his truck, unloaded the four wheeler and rode back into the swamp to get his deer. When he got to his stand and where the deer had been laying the deer was no longer there. He said "***" and then saw some churned up leaves heading out in one direction. Found his deer about 40 yards away almost completely covered up with leaves. There aren't supposed to be any bears in his area of S.C but there are lots of coyotes and bob cats and maybe even some cougars/panthers as lots of folks claim to see them but just like in Louisiana (till last year) nobody had any pics of them. He still does not know what type of animal did it.

watch two coyotes pull down a buck in south texas along a fence line. Buck was not hurt. yotes finally worked him into a corner and that was end of story.
