Ima go out on a limb here and say the parents cash per week thing was directed towards me? If so I pay for 95% of all my gear. When you win tournaments, you tend to make $$, and when I work I make $$, and sponsors. But thanks for caring.

I mean shat, if we don't wear Columbia, under armor, xps, Magellan, etc. *** we posed to wear I'm not going fishing all day in a frickin carhart. They make these shirts to do what we enjoy FISH and be comfortable, and be protected from UV rays not make a statement as to my gear is better than yours.

agree 100% bro. Plus in the old days, all these ya-hoo's wouldn't have an internet to get on to tell everyone how ghey everyone else dresses or how good of a fisherman they are!

***** this is gay!!! i say if you can pay cash for something and its top of the line and thats what you want buy it. myself i like Quality things ....in my experience quality comes with a price tag and ill be damned if someone wants to piss and moan because i started working at age 13 , learned as much as i could in a trade and now have sucessful businesses that allow me to splurge every once in a while

I never said anything about anyone having nice stuff. I only stated it's not necessary to catch fish.
I also stated that there are a bunch of folks who can afford nice stuff but have no clue what to do w/ it when they get it. never named anyone.
But i thinkthat if i had the $$$ for a 40k boat and a 40k truck i would surely have the $$$ to hire a guide for a few trips to get me started in the right direction.

We all know hunting is the same way. My dad grew up shooting with limited gear and never camo. He used his work clothes from the plants that was a light blue. He killed more ducks then allot of people with wearing no camo at all. Its all about not moving. I then began hunting and he would buy me gear but it was like steel toe hip boots that he got cheap from the plant. These things were heavy as hell but I was young and didnt know it. He still wears faded wore out stuff when he goes and shoots a old auto 5 browning. LOL.
I on the other hand I bought the best stuff I found once I finished school. I still do that with some things because I dont want to get wet no more and want the stuff to last.

LOL!! My dad wore the old school camo from the 60's/70's green and black until it was white!! finally his friends made him buy new camo...
