I have a pair of costa 580 blackfins...would never fish without them now,its like hd vision.

longsidelandry 03-01-2010 01:28 PM

I have the Man O' Wars with the 580 lenses and I love them. They have some clip on shields that come with them to help keep the wind/water from getting behind them. Those little shields work great too!

LaAngler 03-01-2010 01:29 PM

i wish someone around here would carry the full selection of frames so i could try them all on.

speck-chaser 03-01-2010 01:30 PM

I guess I might need to find a place close by just to try some on. Like meaux said need to see how they fit my face. Have to check I guess and see if those 580's "trick" my eyes. what color lenses yall find to be the best?

adamsfence 03-01-2010 01:31 PM

Go to Action Specialties on Hwy 90 between Broussard and New Iberia, they have by far the largest selection of Costa's.

i got the new costa permits. they have a big frame and cover even around my eyes i love em. also have costa ballasts for knocking around in. prob have had around 8 or 9 pairs, costas hands down the best. the difference on the lake b/w costas and something not polarized is night and day. if something happens to them that isnt your fault u pay $10 and send them back to them and they will fix. even if it is your fault(i put mine in my pocket like an idiot b/c i didnt have croakies for em yet riding offshore last summer and shattered one of the lenses) they charged me $70 to replace one of the lenses. better than the $200 i paid for em!

FF_T_Warren 03-01-2010 02:04 PM

get the blue mirror glass. or the green. I prefer blue.

WORD TO THE WISE. WHEN YOU GET READY TO PURCHASE A PAIR, DO NOT GO TRY EM ON AT A STORE AND THEN GO ONLINE AND BUY THEM!!! I did this with a pair. In the store they felt amazing. Went online to costa and ordered a pair. When they came in, it was a totally different fit and ended up selling them several months later because they were just 2 snug. Also I tried on the same type at several different stores and even the same ones at a store and there are minute changes between them. so if you find a pair that are a perfect fit, buy that pair not one just like it

specktator 03-01-2010 02:07 PM

i have had green and blue mirror and cant tell the difference

I have some Wiley X. I too get headaches if the glasses fit too tight, but I don't have any problems with mine.
