You just have to see it without blinders on, I understand both ways. I KNOW lead is a poisonous element, its just how you want to interpret the studies and who decides on how many indirect deaths are 'too many'.
Lead was banned in gasoline and paint for a reason, you can google why but the answer is one sentence up;)
