Laast time I went to Lake P it called for 5mph winds.............got there and the waves were crashing over sea wall..........I got a beer at the local pub and headed home..........Long drive for nothin..........

nothing like waves comin up the boat launch that is protected from ponch. by a sea wall !!

The best way to enjoy this kind of weather is to tailgate and watch football. I'll be at Tiger stadium doing just that.

Fourchon
 
A tip for anyone that's heading down to fourchon to fish.
As of 10/ 21/09 there was pipe line rerouteing going on and the flotation canal between the texaco canal and the havoline canal was closed to all traffic. There may be other areas around there closed at times.
You can call the harbor patroll in fourchon for updates.
