I've had probably a dozen or so claims here at my facility with Shelter. They were pretty easy to deal with BUT, make sure when you do your policy that you check the OEM replacement coverage box. If you don't, they will come in and write every aftermarket part they can find, even if your car is a month old! That may not mean much to some but, to others, they can't stand the thought of anything but factory parts going back on their vehicle.

What about usaa I have never had to file a claim with them but I have always heard good things

I have filed a few claims with them. They are top notch, very fast and excellent service.

So who would you say we're the top 3 to deal with?

State Farm or Farm Bureau would be one or two. They could be in either order.

Third would be a toss up really. If you're military, usaa. If not, Progressive or Shelter ins.

These guys truly have a quality repair in mind and, won't throw parts at something that should be totalled.

I had an allstate claim last year that totalled. They owed me $15k in repairs before they totalled the car. Keep in mind, when they came in, I told em it was a gonner. They refused to listen to me about it.

I have had State Farm for 16yrs and have no complaints, I pay $500 deductible my fault or other driver and they fix my vehicle and take care of rest then return my $500 if it was other driver without me haveing to deal with lawyers plus they have always been less then others on prices

Big thing w/ auto insurance. Get it in writing that they will allow ALL OEM parts.
If not go somewhere else!

Good idea, Bob. The other driver's insurance wanted to put aftermarket parts on my daughter's new Murano. Corey took care of that.
