Found a used carb and manifold of a motor bein parted out privately. Called the fella a day after he sold it to the marine. Now they want $150 for the set, is that reasonable. Not sure if its been refurbished.

If it's been rebuilt that's decent i would say. You can order a.new carb for $$125 and intake manifold for around $80.

Are y'all still looking for a evinrude 35 for the carb? If so I might know where one is at.

Is it just a parts motor? Do you know what year?

Where do you find the new parts?
I'm not sure how to cross reference models, would the 81 work on an 85? |
When i ordered all my parts i used boats.net. I got my parts in like 3 days. There's a book you can use. I believe there is also a website you can use. Im pretty sure it will bolt right up.

For the mod I would just need carb, manifold, bigger fuel lines, and a new prop?
|
I wouldnt worry with the fuel line. Yes. Carb and intake. From what i understand the intake on the 25 can be drilled out to the same as the 35 carb but the intake.for the 35 is an 1/8" taller so it flows more than the 25 even if you drill it. And more than likely you will need a bigger prop but it depends on how heavy of a load you run. I run a 10x13 on my 25 and.it does great
