It's been out of the west at 15mph or less for the past 10 hours.

SaltERedneck 08-30-2012 03:15 PM

I'll be chasing them redfish if all else fails!

"W" 08-30-2012 03:19 PM

Live Reading is 13knots which is 15mph and gust to 18knots which is about 20mph

Good luck as there will probably be another massive fish kill after this storm. I sure hope I am wrong.

When are you gonna go? Might have to load up the yak and join if that's cool. My baby will be here reeeeal soon so I gotta get at least one more trip in.

Pole_benda 08-30-2012 10:21 PM

Either way, I'll be down there Saturday/Sunday. It's my last fishing trip ever before getting stationed I'm Germany for the next 3 years. If you see a Grey Maverick flats say hey! Maybe even go somewhere Sat night for some drinks

"W" 08-30-2012 10:51 PM

Winds laid down for about an hour then picked back up to about 25mph again

BaseballFisherman 08-30-2012 11:00 PM

I was out there this evening. Water looked nasty on the way out while it was windy but then the lake slicked off for a couple hours. The water started to get better while we were out there and got a little bit better everywhere on the run in. I found fishable, actually halfway decent water while the lake was calm but didn't catch squat. No bait, no slicks, no birds, no nothing. It was dead out there. Didn't want to make the trip a complete waste so we put on the gulp and hung into some big nasties at the weirs!!! What can I say, desperate times call for desperate measures....

YellowMouth7 08-31-2012 06:20 AM

Not sure if I'm going to go yet....wait and see

Just wait till the baby is born, then she will be preoccupied and you will have tons of time to fish!!!!!
