The last time I towed my boat with the Eco I used the tow mode and was amazed that I was getting 16/17mpg above 40mph.

I just bought a new 5.0 with 3.73 E locker

Glad i didn't get the ecoboost when i ordered my warn winch and mounts just now. here is what my front end will look like on wed just missing the baseplate and VR S entry level warn.

I have a 2011 f-150 fx2 ecoboost and I drive it like its stollen and I still get 15 in town and 19-21 on the highway. I tow my boat which is only about 3000 loaded but it pulls it like a dream. Much better than my Silverado did.

I drive a 2011 F-250, 6.2L gas. Never gotten over 15mpg, anywhere!

I have a '99 Ford F-250 with the 7.3L diesel 2WD. I get 19.5 mpg on almost every tank.
I can't seem to get over 20. But right at it.
I also have an F-150 with the Eco-boost 2WD. I have the highway rear end and get 24 mpg on the highway at 70 mph.
I get around 26 mpg if I go from Lake Charles to Vidalia, La., no interstate, run between 55 and 65 mph.
However, my mpg dropped to 12 to 14 mpg when pulling my boat.
I see no difference when I pull my boat with the F-250. The boat is around 2000 lbs, without a full tank of gas and trailer.
My F-150 is rated for 8500 lbs., due to the rear end. I don't have the 373 rear end for pulling 11500 lbs.

Not sure about the Eco-boost durability yet, but the old F-250 has only been in the shop a couple times. I waited to bring
her in to the shop for recalls till she was 14 years old...
I also had to change the clutch at 170K miles and the brakes at 190K miles. The a/c clutch went out at 220K miles, and the
radio went out right after that.
Other than that, I have only changed out the belt, oil and filters and back door cables. Plus 2 sets of seats that got worn out.
The headliner is starting to fall, but she will be 15 years old in April.
I definitely got my money's worth out of it. New ones are more than twice what I paid for it.
