Teach me to the basses :)
Lmao

BassAssasin 04-13-2012 08:50 PM

I'm goin with a 6.8 for bass . But I get my butt handed to me sometimes, especially recently. For trout I'm a 3 bc I don't know any areas, I just know how to cast and work a bait. But I know very little bout the fish and it's habits. I just don't study trout like I do bass. Anyone need a trout protege' ?

sent from between buns

youu_whoo_whoo 04-13-2012 09:03 PM

I give myself between a 3 and a 4. I might not be the best at fishing, but i truly enjoy going. I dont get the chance to go as much as i would like, so i enjoy it when i can no matter how the fish are biting.

But I'm a member of club W so ill go ahead and round that number off to a 10!

If you would have landed that trout yesterday, that would have added at least a point. :smokin:

I'd give myself a 7 but that's BL only and GI sometimes. Anywhere other than that I would be in a bind finding fish. I ain't bass fished outside a pond in years.

biggun 04-13-2012 09:52 PM

Definitely a 10. Confidence is the # ONE FACTOR in Catching FISH. With the Other Variables mixed 6-8. 8-10 on most any water I've fished before.

But like W said some day the pro's. don't catch fish.

jdm4x43732 04-13-2012 09:56 PM

A strong .025

fishinpox 04-13-2012 09:56 PM

I feel I have a pretty good grasp on what senarios potentially hold fish for example the way the water is moving , where to fish depending on what way the wind is blowing, looking for bait, looking for clean water , looking for things that stand out maybe something or somewhere a fish could lay up to ambush bait , everyone has their "home waters" so hopefully you are a more consistent "catcher" there . But fishing new bodies of water doesn't intimidate me I usually can puta few fish ithe box with out help , but like most things practice and time makes you better , but doing the same thing over n over expecting different results .... You'll never get better
