Miami says no camps on leases, but I know people who have camps on Miami leases.
But most are politicians, judges big business's and that kinda people.

All I have heard about camps on Miami property is you have to be leasing from them. The John's have one east of the Superior on Miami and there is one west of the Superior, sure there are more including barge camps. There is money to be made in Grand Chenier if someone had the property to open another trailer park.

FEMA gave the parish a buttload of trouble for letting some put trailers on the ground and not others. They let some of the oil co.'s put them on the ground outside of hurricane season, but no one else.
Pecan Island has some places to put them on the ground. Our old Barge Supervisor has on on the ground just West of Pecan Island.

Believe you can only put campers Cameron and Vermilion parish;FEMA requirement. Know several guys that had to elevate trailers or pull them out per parish. Couple at church just moved trailers out and brought in campers with awnings. Your girlfriend keeps a tight rein on the parish.:D

Looks great wish we would do something like that

I know some Cormiers' that have a camp in Miami..Scott Cormier told me that they were grandfathered in. I think his grandpa has been in there for a long time.

The lease papers state that, but like I said, some people do have camps on Miami land. If it is high land, like along the roads, they permit a camp. They didn't wan them in the marshes. However, the past judge in Cameron Parish had one ni the marsh, but he was a judge. I think it went away with the hurricanes. It was nothing fancy, just an old shack with no elect. or running water.
