Thanks for all the positive compliments guys!

It is very nice. I would stain/seal it with mineral oil.

I am working on one myself. I used a non transparent stain on mine and made a concrete countertop. It's solid!

Here is mine

And the sink section I added last week. I still have to make a matching cabinet door and sand/seal the bartop and sink section.

Yes sir, but wait about 30 days with the table sitting in the sun. Wood preservative will not soak into fresh treated lumber.....but the fishy smell eventually will if you don't treat it. There's some stuff called CWF (clear wood finish) that'd be ideal. DON'T USE POLYURETHANE...........it will peel.

Let me know when you get some more composite deck boards as scrap. That sounds like a perfect product to use.

Good looking deal man I'd like that sucka at the house....my picnic table stinks to high hell and is too low to be cleaning fish...But I'd rather clean fish at the marina...Less work

gonzalesdave 07-18-2011 07:23 AM

All I need now is somewhere to chunk the heads. (they will stink if you chunk the in your curb and gutter drain....or so I hear)

BigChaf 07-18-2011 07:35 AM

Nice, very nice, now we can clean fish at your house, you still don't have a handy gully near by.

It needs a knife holder and a paper towel holder. Then perfect.
If you find an old stainless steel refrigerator, cut out the sides and use it to cover the table.

And we need to see a picture of you planking on top of it.
