Shimano has some of the best factory bearings out there. If u are replacing worn bearings then I would switch to ceramics but if just wanting better performance I'd keep the new factory bearings and re oil them with better oil. The oil they send them with is kind of heavy. To re oil bearings take them out of the reel and soak them for about 20 mins in some degreaser the one in spray can works good. After that dry them with a blow dryer untill dry. The best oil I find is quantum hot sauce in the lil red bottle. Put only 2 drops and put back in the reel. Makes a noticeable diff compared to factory and alot cheaper than ceramics.

Rocket Fuel oil with factory bearings is just as good as orange seal Boca ceramics. Also ceramic bearings are noisy.
