Not for no reason reeling in a trout. I have a falcon that is 15 years old still going strong. Alot heavier than the newer models so I don't use it often.

I had a falcon for 5 years and let my friend use it ten minutes later he got hung up on a stump and reels down to it and snap broke the tip two inches down, not a quality issue as much as an idiot issue! all is forgiven, I replaced that rod with a Kajun Limb.
