There was a class on June 19th at the Lake Charles Sail and Power Squadron.
Now you have to take it online or at the LDWF.
I will post up when the next one is at the LCSPS.
If we get enough people on here to sign up, the LCSPS will make a date to fit your needs. It is usually $10, which includes meals.
They give all the prep. info. that will be on the test, then take the test around 3:30 pm.
The Coast Guard Aux. had a class also, but I don't see any of their info. around anymore.

I took the hunter safety class way back when it was first started, about 1984.

It was on a cold day [~40 F] in an outside covered shelter with the wind blowing. Everyone wearing insulated clothing and jackets. After the first hour, everyone had to get up and run around to warm up. I have never been that cold hunting on a deer stand.
