With a cork.........Some days 18" is best, other times 3' works better.

Live shrimp are good to use, but cast netting small bait fish [shad, mullet or croaker] can work just a well.

"Popping the Cork"......some times it takes a lot of popping [maybe 3 times in a row, then let it sit for 5 seconds and repeat]. Or maybe pop it just once every 10+ seconds. You just have to figure out how the fish like it that day.

In the Roc the cast net size limit is 8'. Unless it was changed recently.

I don't think 8' foot is legal [Roc = Rockefeller] Their # is 337 538-2276

Behind Grand bayou @ Big Lake......5' is max size cast net.

what about grand lake...anybody fish familier with it and how do you access it..or through like mallard bay from garys landing or easier from somewhere else???
