Me And Jason, decided along while back, a kayak is a BOAT. 30 a BOAT. We can't help that 3 people can not fit in a kayak AKA BOAT.

I hate sounding like a @## about it, but several people tried pming us, saying its not fair, blah blah blah. It is fair, a kayak is a form of boat, i can't help its not big enough to fit 3 people.

Hope yall see where we are going with this.

Thanks

Thats fine with me, i aint scared.

All boats have to launch out of Herberts or is C.Point, etc. open as well?

Choupique 12-14-2009 05:24 PM

There is a kayak tournament the week before at Big Lake hosted by the Lafayette Club too. hmm

IMHO.....I don't think asking one person in a Kayak to compete against 3 [or 4] people in a boat is fair. Also asking them to pay the same amout as 3 or 4 people in a boat is not right.

Suggestion......either lower the fee for one person to fish in a Kayak or make it a 2 or 3 Kayak Team fee.

FYI....I don't have a Kayak and plan to fish in a boat.

guys guys, i understand that this generates debate, hey not tryin ta be an arse but, we are allowing kayaks and these are the rules, we would love ya ta enter, if not, thanks for considering. this would be wayyyy too difficult to try ta reshape all the rules and revamp all weve worked on. so please, be nice and polite and if you decide ta join,,,thanks, if not, we appreciate it anyway... remember guys, its for charity thanks again speckdaddy:D

we are talkin about 30 bucks ! and its for a good cause if you cant swing the 30 bones someone will cover you on the entry fee

woooooohooooooo thats my dawg got my back huh?????? guys come on lets get it

Correct, it is for charity.
Making another category might take away some of the money going to that charity.
It is already hard enough for the 3 guys who are taking on the challenge ot organize
this event. Just look at Fool, he is losing so much weight, you can see his ribs.
And I saw Mikethetiger yesterday, he is starting to look kinda fraile too. I'd hate to
see what Speckdaddy looks like. He was ugly enough before taking on this thing.

Side bets are best for this kind of thing. Take side bets and give a portion to the
charity.

Choupique 12-14-2009 05:42 PM

Im not sweating the entry fee amount at all; and I don’t think most guys are. Just asked a question thats all; I didn’t know lots of guys already asked the same thing. What’s the rule about launch points?

i look terrible thanks !!!!!!! im tryin ta see if we can still revamp the entry for the kayakers. its still early ta try sumthin new. so stay tuned guys, and fool and i will have an update soon for ya .

Ray 12-14-2009 05:43 PM

I think you can launch where ever you want. You just have to check in and pay
at Cal. Point the morning of the event.

you can launch anywhere in the state ya want. but, you MUST be at the primary launch(cal point) when the shotgun start sounds. you may then leave and launch wherever ya wanna.

yak'em-n-stack'em 12-14-2009 06:38 PM

yea, its not the entry fee, hell ill prolly give 30 dollars to the charity even if i dont fish.

i still plan on helping tag at the live weigh in, so its not about the money

huntin fool 12-14-2009 06:46 PM

guys...We have an update on the yakkers...don't get bent out of shape yet...It'll be posted when speckdaddy gets a chance.
